An Idol Mind
I watch just like everyone else. Watch and become mortified by the worst of the bunch. The delusional ones that come for their three minutes of fame. Those awkward 180 seconds that simultaneously make me wanna hold my stomach with laughter and disgust. The ones that travel from near and far just to make fools of themselves in front of three people — and then America — just to say they did it.
I love watching. It’s a fascinating case study. And each year for the past five years, the crazies that try out for American Idol have not disappointed. At all.
