I did this despite Glory telling me, in not so many words, that if I didn’t have anything real to post, not to post anything at all. I said, OK.

Thank goodness I didn’t sign any papers. lol

Besides, she hasn’t been over to see my spot in a while. So there! *sticking out tongue at Glory-us*

1. How tall are you barefoot?
5′11″

2. Have you ever flown first-class?
Yup. Last time was to L.A. Lawd, that was a great flight.

3. One of your favorite books when you were a child?
The Autobiography of Malcolm X. (Whaaaaat, I was advanced … so sue me. lol)

4. A good restaurant in your city?
There are a few that I love to frequent, including Cabana (where I went THREE times this week … oy) and Spi.ce (which is a whole separate entry … look for it soon).

5. What is your favorite small appliance?
It used to be my Foreman grill. I need a new one. And yes, it’s on the housewarming list. LOL

6. One person that never fails to make you laugh?
My boy El … always got jokes. Always.

7. What’s your favorite Christmas song?
The song they used to sing on “A Sesame Street Christmas,” “Keep Christmas With You.” Love that song. Oh, and ever since I saw “Love, Actually,” I’ve loved “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” Yeah, I’m a dork.

8. What was the first music that you ever bought?
Lawd, I can’t recall. The first CD I ever bought was “Ooohh … On The TLC Tip!”

9. Do you do push-ups?
sure. *thinking I’m glad they didn’t ask how often*

10. What was one of your favorite games as a child?
Red Light, Green Light … 1,2,3. Oh, and Doctor. Of course. LOL

11.What is the one thing that you cook that always receives compliments?
People love my mac and cheese. Seriously, I could compete on cooking shows with the stuff.

12. When you were twelve years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Second baseman for the New York Yankees (Willie Randolph was my hero growing up)

13. Your favorite Soup of the Day?
Corn Chowder from Au Bon Pain. Lawd, it’s addictive.

14. What in your life are you most grateful for?
The health of my family … and the ability to write well.

15. Have you ever met someone famous?
Yep, but fame is all relative. (I liked Chris’s answer, so I kept it.)

16. Date Of Birth?
08-17 (look out for your invite to the big bday bash)

20. From what news source do you receive the bulk of your news?
The net and the newspaper. I read three papers a day. Gotta stay on top of things.

21. Current hair?
I have a ceasar, courtesy of my new barber, who is conveniently located right around the corner. I mean, suuuure he’s going to another country and will be gone for more than a month and I’ll have to search for a replacement while he’s gone just after getting used to him and the new place, but still … he’s my new barber. Gotta love it.

22. Current worry?
That the card won’t be paid off by the time I get back on Monday. Sigh.

23. Current hate?
no hate, but I really, really dislike the random caller and stalker. Not.the.hotness.

24. Favorite place to be?
by the water … not necessarily in it, but to be by it is sooooooooooooo relaxing.

25. Least favorite place to be?
Standing on line … anywhere.

26. Do you consider yourself well organized?
An organized mess

27. Do you believe in a afterlife?
Nope. But I definitely believe in after parties. :)

28. Where do you think you will be in 10 Yrs?
Probably living in another country, married with a couple of kids. Writing books and columns.

29. Do you burn or tan?
I tan.

31. Are you more optimistic or pessimistic about the future?
optimistic. there is nowhere to go but up. and I have some eyes that are watching me so I HAVE to be succesful. (Chris’s answer … I kept it.)

32. Last time you had an alcoholic drink?
What time is it now? lol Seriously, Friday night at happy hour.

33. What songs do you sing in the shower?
Damn. It could be anything. I’m a platinum artist in the shower. LOL

34. What did you fear was going to get you at night as a kid?
I was just afraid of the dark when I was a kid. So with my imagination, I would think anything from spiders to closet monsters would be on their way to get me.

35. What’s in your pockets right now?
nothin. No pockets in my boxers.

36. Last thing that made you laugh?
The replay of Cubs catcher Michael Barrett cold clocking White Sox catcher Mike Pierzynski in the jaw. Hilarious. Gotta love Chicago. What a city.

37. Best bed sheets you had as a child?
I remember having some Charlie Brown bed sheets. Snoopy was on the pillow. (told you I was a dork.)

38. Worst injury you’ve ever had?
Broken nose. It’s still crooked.

39. Favorite song?
Right now, it’s gotta be “In A Sentimental Mood.” It stays on repeat in the Ipod. It speaks without having any lyrics. The song WITH lyrics that I’m diggin right now is “Pass Me Over” by Anthony Hamilton.

40. How many TVs do you own?
Two

41. In the last calendar year, how many people have you told that you love them?
Only a precious few.

42. Last thing that made you blush?
A certain someone telling me what they liked about me.

43. Best Compliment received?
It feels good to get compliments about my writing. Makes me sure I’m doing the right thing with my career.

44. What song is in your head?
“When You’re Mad” by Ne-Yo. Thanks, BET. *shaking fist*

45. What is your favorite book?
Toooooo many to list here. Seriously, that could take all day.

46. Last meal you cooked for the opposite sex?
Lasagna. A while ago.

47. What songs do you want played at your wedding?
I don’t have a mental playlist, but by the time I get married, Etta James herself should appear and sing “At Last” for my ass, as long as it took for the event to take place. LOLOL

48. What song do you want played at your funeral?
“Whatta Man” by En Vogue and Salt n Pepa. Spindarella has GOT to be on the 1’s and 2’s. (Seriously … let’s make this happen.)

49. What were you doing at 12 midnight last night?
Watching the Spurs beat the Mavericks on television.

50. What would you like to accomplish with the remaining years of your life?
I can’t plan everything because tomorrow is not promised. However, I’d love to write books and share information that affects people. I’d love to get married and go through life with a loving, compatible partner. I’d also love to have children and be the best example I can be to them, guiding them through life just as I was, by loving parents who would do anything to help me succeed. Oh, and if I could live comfortably in the process, not having to worry about bills, that would be great, too. :)
