Mind Dump
It’s Tuesday. I’m sleepy. And on my way out of town this afternoon for an overnight trip.
I wanted to post some lyrics to a song that’s been in my head lately, but instead, I think I’ll keep the song … and dump everything else.
Yup … today, you get an IMWM Mind Dump … lucky you. LOL
First, let me thank everyone who left their condolences for my family last week. Your expressions are very much appreciated. Over 600 people showed up for Saturday’s funeral. The support was overwhelming. Left me grateful and drained . . . I don’t know about the rest of you, but watching the “Chappelle’s Show” Lost episodes was like eating tofu straight up: no real flavor. Or maybe it’s the fact that I know there are only three of them that are going to air, and David didn’t sanction their use, so it doesn’t feel quite right supporting them. I dunno. I’m conflicted. (Although the skit that featured the Tupac song in the club was hilarious. LOL) . . . After all these years, listening to Stephanie Mills sing about the comfort of a man still makes me smile and just HOPE that a woman feels that way about me someday . . . Just a memo to the doctor who was, by no means, gonna let his ex-wife have the building they once owned together and resorted to blowing up the building instead of giving it up: Please don’t recover. You should die now. That is all . . . I’m glad Italy won the World Cup. They deserved it. Plus, since I’m half Italian (based on my love for the food), I feel like I won, too. Besides, seriously, which would you rather have: lasagna or french toast? That’s what I thought . . . I think the world can rest easier now that Tiger is almost back in top form . . . This was supposed to be a great closing weekend for sports, WWW style (with Tiger Woods as well as all of the international goings-on, including the World Cup and Wimbledon). Yet, with all of the idiocy going on at the same time, including North Korea lighting “firecrackers”, Israel issuing mass threats, Iran dabbling in bombs of their own, and obviously Iraq, it’s turning more into the beginning of WWIII. And I’m scared . . . I’ve been the worst at returning phone calls lately, and for that I apologize. It’s been a crazy few months, to be sure. I’m gonna bounce back. Promise . . . More details about “The Cramptons” joint coming Monday. Stay tuned . . . One day, I’m gonna write a good poem. One day. Just don’t hold your breath. LOL . . . Seriously, I will never look at “care packages” the same way again. Thank you! . . . Anyone who has any funky templates to share with me for Season 3, please email me and let me know. The revolution continues!!! . . . Is it me, or is Beyonce straining on “Deja Vu”? . . . I will ALWAYS love Las Vegas . . . Hearing Luther sing “Superstar” on the way in this morning was an unexpected treat . . . Ummm, yeah. DiGiorno’s Thin Crust pizza is so, so good! . . . I see you, Philly! . . . If you’re ever in New York on a Thursday night, and you’re looking for a place where you can get night club ambience — and crab legs (lol), go on over to “One Fish, Two Fish” on 97th and Madison. You will be entertained, for sure. LOL . . . There’s nothing better than watching BETJ at a random time and seeing videos like this. LOL . . . I didn’t start until late, but let me tell you, FOX’s “House” has become one of my favorite shows and I get allll summer to see episodes that are fresh to me . . . Other shows that I’m feeling now are “The Closer” (TNT), “Monk” and “Psych” (USA) and “Last Comic Standing” (NBC) . . . Shout out to Nyle, the best PR person in the business. Good looking out on the tickets!!! . . . And finally, congrats to Hilda and Kevin on the birth of Kennedy Karrine, a gorgeous baby girl!!!
OK. I’m on empty now. I think I need a nap. *sigh*

I heard about the doctor and the building and yes, he needs to just expire now. That’s GREED for you! I have faith that you can floetry in poem form though and that umm, somebody will feel all Stephanie Mills-ish about u 2. There is someone special for everybody they say, but what’s in Vegas or do you just love “it”?

That doctor was selfish and stupid. And I swear for the life of me that I just can’t get into Deja Vu. There’s not a damn thing appealing about the song.

It’s good to see that I’m not the only person feelind that Deja Vu joint. The phrase ‘hot garbage’ comes to mind….don’t know. I’m a fan of House too. It is a GREAT show. And I just got into The Closer. I haven’t decided if I like it yet or not. Have a safe trip!

So when were you at “one fish two fish” on a Thursday night and why wasn’t I invited?

Beyonce really thinks she can sing on Deja Vu, it drives me crazy listening to that song. Yeeech.
I was watching the doc on the news yesterday and thought to myself: what is the wife thinking watching this - Wow, he REALLY didn’t want me to have my share of the house! Craziness. I hope you’re doing well - travel safe.

First of all I’m glad that you are gettin’ your vent on-
but I’d really like to know what song has been churning
in your head!!!
I’m glad that Italy won too
I think Ms. b is trying on her song but I know it’s hard to
duplicate what you’ve already done as well as reinvent
yourself… having said all of that- I don’t like the song either!
hahaha!
Hi Will!!! *waving*

Chappelle’s Lost Episodes: the barber scene was funny, Tupac song in the club hilarious, after that pretty much bland. Hopefully the next two episodes will get better.
You’ve been the worst at returning phone calls and you’re going to get better, didn’t you say this last month? lol
I groan every time I hear “Déjà vu”. What a worthless song, I’m sure it’ll hit #1. LOL
I love “House” and enjoy “Monk” but I think it (Monk) was better the first few seasons with the previous assistant, Sherona (sp).
Now, what’s the song in your head?
