Your Favorite Game Show is “Blank”

This week, the Game Show Network (GSN) began airing a series determining the “50 Greatest Game Shows of All Time.”

Can I just say how much I love this network? To think that there’s a channel totally devoted to playing games just … just … makes me smile. This is the network that has such a variety of show hosts, Wink Martindale and Chuck Woolery now share a lunchroom with friggin’ Danny Bonaduce!!! Whew, can you imagine the conversations?!?!? Love.it. The only network that airs game shows that were originally broadcast when I was four years old.

How can life get any better?!?!?

Back & 4th …

nullFor most of you, this is just the week of the 4th of July, the week when “other” people celebrate their independence. But for me, I can’t think of that week, that day, without going back to thoughts that will forever be shackled on my mind.

There are two instances from back in the day when I was young, independent of one another, both with extraordinary visuals.

They always come to mind on that day, make my mind race back and forth with the images. Soooooo gas up the way-back machine and hold on tight, ladies and gentlemen … take a ride with me through my back-and-4ths.

What You Won’t Do …

It was the way that halter top embraced her curves. The way her bare shoulders looked in the light. The way her designer jeans had me making designs on getting closer to her.

It was all working that night: the MAC brand lip gloss, the flowing hair, the smile that was so bright and sincere, the bartender had to ask her to close her mouth in order to keep the bar lowly lit.

It was an August night, which meant it was hot. Our eyes met. My heart fluttered. It was a secret meeting, a rendezvous of the highest order. Two souls that probably weren’t meant to be together forever, but for that night … for that ONE night when it’s all working, when the weather and food and conversation are equally hot … spontaneity takes over.

And there’s nothing that you won’t do …
